- Foster care for the children without parental support
This helps children grow up in nurturing in the home environment rather than institutions.
3. After-Care Programme For Youth (18+):
When the Children leave the CCIs at the age of 18 years, the after-care schemes supports them in the transitioning to adulthood with providing them:
- Housing support
- Financial support
- Career training and education
- Counseling and mentorship
This ensures they’re not left vulnerable after state care ends. This will give them moral and emotional support so that they can become successful and focus on making their career.

4. Specialised Adoption Agencies (SAAs)
Specialised Adoption Agencies is helping both parents and children bringing the happiness in their life. These agencies are responsible for:
- Taking in the surrendered or abandoned children
- Facilitating legal adoption process through CARINGS ( Central Adoption Resource Authority platform)

5. Child Help Line 1098- Emergency Support:
1098 is 24X7 toll-free Child helpline number active in Himachal Pradesh. It connects Children in distress to:
